Did you know that putting off breakfast 2-3 hours does your body good?

Let's break it down. Breakfast or really - break fast - is just that. It is the drink, food or meal that breaks your fast (not ingesting fat, protein or glucose) because you've been sleeping or glued to the boob tube binge watching GoT. 🙋‍♀️

During this fasting time your body is happily munching on your fat reserves. It's replenishing from the day and night before. It's preparing you for the day ahead. It's also prepping for a state called autophagy. This is your body's natural garbage disposal. A time when it kills off sick or old cells to save energy for building new healthy ones. Sick and old cells are the underpinnings of cancer and disease.

If you give your body a break - say stop eating at 8pm and don't start again until 10am - that's 14 hours of fasting! 14 hours of good old fashioned house cleaning.🧹 Your liver can rest, your hormones can power up, your bones can strengthen, your brain can prep itself for the day of decisions ahead.
